SWEDEN, November 13 - Published

On 13 November, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa is participating in the ReBuild Ukraine exhibition and conference in Warsaw to promote Swedish business investments and business in Ukraine.

“Private sector engagement in Ukraine is essential to its ability to endure Russia’s war of aggression and to its future recovery. Greater economic cooperation with Ukraine is not charity – it benefits the Swedish economy and Swedish companies. The potential in Ukraine’s economic development is enormous,” says Mr Dousa.

A Swedish pavilion with around 50 exhibitors and more than 120 participants will present Swedish solutions in key sectors for Ukraine’s reconstruction. These include the environment and sustainability, energy, infrastructure, construction, mining, transport and security. The exhibitors are representatives from the Swedish public and private sector.

Swedish development financier Swedfund and pan-Nordic environmental financier Nefco will also sign an agreement on project development in Ukraine. Swedfund is also signing a letter of intent with a Ukrainian tech and investment platform to support innovative companies in the country’s reconstruction. In addition, Swedfund is announcing several new agreements with various companies and Ukrainian municipalities. The agreements concern additional Swedish technical feasibility studies for construction projects in areas such as energy, health care and water treatment.
